- Title: Exploring Environmental & Economic Sustainability for the AHPs Industry
- Date: Wednesday, February 23, 2022
- Time: 3:00 PM (GMT-05:00) Eastern Time – New York
Having a strong strategy on sustainability is essential to the long-term viability of any business, especially in an industry like absorbent hygiene products. For the AHPs industry, long-term sustainability thinking requires thinking about the entire life-cycle of our products: which means designing with sustainable sourcing, production, and end-of-life scenarios in mind.
The infrastructure challenge for AHPs is the waste management infrastructure. Companies in this industry need to design with waste management scenarios in mind; and this includes recycling, composting, and when products end up as fugitive waste in the environment. Just like auto companies have been, AHPs companies need to be more involved than ever before in helping to bring about the waste management infrastructure that the sustainability of their products require.
